Martin Andrew

Chief Executive Officer

Martin graduated from Leicester University in 1986 with a First Class degree in Economics and joined Kleinwort Benson Investment Management as a graduate trainee.

He then went to Harvard Business School and graduated with an MBA in 1991. Martin subsequently worked for management consultants McKinsey and Co. in London and joined Mercury Asset Management/Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in 1996 where he fulfilled a variety of roles in the US and UK culminating in running MLIM's private client business in Europe.

Martin joined Close Brothers in 2005 to be overall head of all private client businesses.

Helen Aldridge

Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Helen is a chartered accountant who joined us in 1999 as Financial Controller after spending 7 years working at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Manchester.

She was born in Manchester and studied Geography at the University of Birmingham. Helen now lives in Hartford, Cheshire with her family and enjoys socialising with friends and playing golf in her spare time.

Peter Cooley

Business Development Director

Peter joined the financial services world when he joined us as an Investment Adviser in the North West in 1994. Before taking up his current role, where he leads our Employer Solutions Team and our team of lecturers, Peter managed our Scotland office in Stirling.

In keeping with his current role, leading our Financial Education in the Workplace services, Peter holds a degree from John Moores University, Liverpool and taught English and Physical Education before joining us.

In his younger days, Peter was a keen sportsman, playing rugby for Waterloo and Cheshire and he still likes to play but now only to a level that his knees allow!

Andrew Fox

Chief Information Officer

Andrew joined us in 1995 as a programmer in our IT team, after many years working in the software industry. He has been our Chief Information Officer since 2005 and enjoys the challenges of designing and developing technological solutions to meet the changing needs of our clients and the business.

Andrew was born in Buxton, Derbyshire, where he still lives with his wife Alison and their 2 teenage boys. He enjoys spending time with his family and looking after their growing menagerie of livestock and pets.

Clive Kingsbury

Director of Client Relationships

Clive was born in Liverpool, educated at the Liverpool Bluecoat School and then the University of Kent. His career in our industry began in 1982 at the Bradford and Bingley Building Society and after working in two other financial institutions, Clive joined us in 1987.

Clive has held his present role since January 2005, having previously been National Sales Manager. Through his team of advisers, he is responsible for enhancing our clients' experiences. He lives in Cheshire and is a keen sports follower, with rugby and fast cars being his passions.

Toni Meadows

Investment Management Director

Toni has worked in fund management since 1992 and has been with us since early 2004. He began his career at Mercury Asset Management and moved from there in 1996 to join a Pan-European investment boutique, Bradshaw Asset Management. Before joining us Toni worked as a fund manager on Socially Responsible Funds for Gerrard. Toni has a degree in Economics and is a member of the Society of Investment Professions.

David Stitcher

Director of Compliance

David has spent many years in the financial services industry holding roles in finance and compliance, latterly spending 10 years as Group Compliance Director at Rensburg Sheppards in Liverpool. David joined us in 2006 as Director of Compliance and he enjoys working with a team of committed people who are dedicated to achieving the best outcome for our clients.

David holds 2 professional qualifications: Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and Fellow of the Securities Institute. He was born in Walthamstow and has 3 grown-up children. In his spare time he enjoys following American football and being an active member of his Christian community.
